Large Brass Claw Feet provide a graceful termination to curved sofa and table legs. This claw shaped cap slips over the portion of foot that sits flat on the floor, enclosing both sides, front and top of furniture-foot. This Federal design was extensively used by Duncan Phyfe, a Neoclassical cabinet maker in early 19th century. This style was then revived again in the 1900's.
